(out)looking, (re)framing, work by Joan Giroux, Nature Unframed, curated by Anna Kunz, Morton Arboretum, Lisle, Illinois, 2011

As part of a the group exhibition Nature Unframed, (out)looking, (re)framing provides opportunities for different kinds of reflection and delight in the surrounding natural areas. It responds to the site by inviting viewers to image the site themselves, to frame and find wonder in different aspects of the landscape.

• Served as project manager for artist.

• Developed budget and handled contract and insurance requirements.

• Researched materials for large scale teleidoscope.

• Point-of-contact for vendors, including steel providers and waterjet cutters, during fabrication.

• Assisted with overall design and oversaw artist assistants.
