The Fresh Connect is an annual celebration rooted in celebrating and building community around and through Hip-Hop. It celebrates and connects emerging talent, seasoned professionals, participants and supporters of Hip-Hop culture at Columbia College Chicago and beyond. The Fresh Connect is produced by graduate and undergraduate students in the Events Management Practicum Course in partnership with the Hip-Hop Studies Minor.

Teach Events Management Practicum course in partnership with the Hip-Hop Studies Minor to provide a hands-on experience in live event production with an emphasis on compassion, teamwork, and leadership.
Develop curriculum that provides resources, tools, and training necessary for planning and managing live events.
Provide constructive, encouraging, and corrective feedback.
Established the Parker Lee Williams Scholarship for Hip-Hop Excellence with students, faculty, and staff.
